Race Date: Sunday 1st November 2015

I’m a bit in the dark about these races but after a little bit of research,  I gather there are 15 checkpoints and you have to run to as many of them as you can within a 3 hour time limit. Each checkpoint is worth points and some are worth more than others. If you are late back, you are fined 50 points per minute! This race therefore seems a good test of navigational skills to get to the highest scoring checkpoints in as quick a time as possible.

The race allows people to run solo or as a pair and it attracted 89 entrants. The winner was Duncan Harris who amassed 455 points in a time of 2.59.04. The top placed woman was Cerys Manning was achieved 360 points in 2.53.09. Andy Buck was the lone Strider present ( I think – please correct me if I’m wrong) and he told me the total distance he ran was about 16km in 2.52.15 and gathered 275 points. Well done Andy.
