Derby 10k – report by Jen Rich

Race Date: Sunday 17th April 2016

Over 4000 runners turned out for the Derby 10k, a quick course with definite pb potential. The race starts from the iPro Stadium and takes runners through the surrounding business estate and then into town before returning to the Derby County ground for the finish line and a much-deserved high-five from team mascot Rammie Rammie.

The race was won by Ben Connor of Derby AC in 28:59, setting a new course record. First lady home was Lisa Palmer-Blount of Heanor Running Club who crossed the line in 36:02.

Jen Rich flew the Striders flag and was fifth lady home, well done Jen!
