Race Date: Sunday 17th January 2016

A 7am start was in order to avoid the Houston heat as 11085 participants made the effort of getting out of bed to run the half marathon, including our very own Nancy Stuart. I’m getting more jealous every time I write these foreign race write ups. Huge well done to Nancy for her 2245th placing. Great effort.

The race was won by Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia in 1.00.37. The first woman was Mary Wacera of Kenya in 1.06.29.
