Wilmslow 10k result

Race Date: Sunday 4th December 2016

The Wilmslow Festive 10k was incredible!! Blessed with sunny weather, 1240 participants set off from Wilmslow town centre and into the Cheshire countryside on our fast course before looping back towards Wilmslow. Charity partner Key 103 Cash for Kids enjoyed a successful morning at the toy drop due to the amazing generosity of our runners. Befitforever raised vital cash by offering sports massage and we will be able to announce the total raised including our support once all fundraising is complete. Thanks so much to our race sponsors, partners & supporters; Chronoedge, Co-op, Cliff Bars, Nifty Entries, Blue Arrow Traffic Management, Regional Medical Services, Wilmslow Leisure Centre, Wilmslow Running Club, Wilmslow Hockey Club & the patience of the residents of Wilmslow & surrounding villages. Hope to see you for our 2017 races which we announce very soon.

Whilst most of us were Percy Pudding in one way or another, Ben Jones was moonlighting in Wilmslow for the inaugural 10k.  No pudding, but an almost flat 10k around some extremely well-heeled streets in Cheshire.Great time and position from Ben, well done.

Matthew Clowes of Cardiff Amateur Running Club took the win in a close contest, just nipping under the 30 minute mark (29:55) and taking home a shiny Tag Heuer watch as a prize.  Faye Fullerton (Havering) was first female home in 34:27.
