29th December 2008...Striders to enter Chicago Marathon
- Sunday 11th October 2009
A group of Striders are considering entering the Chicargo marathon in 2009.
Initial cost is around £400 for direct flights from Manchester to Chicago, possibly
leaving on Thursday 8th October (arrive Chicago mid-day) / Departing Tuesday 13th
October. (arrive Manchester am 14th). We are looking to enter and book flights early
New Year. Entry to the marathon is not by lottery.

Yorkshire Championships: Saturday 10th January 2009, Winterhill in Kimberworth, Rotherham
Northern Championships: Saturday 24th January 2009, Sherdley Park, St Helens
Yorkshire Vets CC Championships -Saturday 14th February 2009, Knavesmire, York.
National Championships: Saturday 21st February 2009, Parliament Hill, London
Entry to all championship races is free to members of Steel City Striders. If you wish to compete in any of these races email team captains Ian Stinson or Carol Beattie. Deadline for entries for these races are soon so act quickly. More details>> |
