Wednesday Night Graves Training
Time: 6:50 meet for a 7:00 start. Meet outside the main entrance or in reception in bad weather.
Venue: Graves Tennis and Leisure Centre, Bochum Parkway, Norton, S8 8JR

Note: as the majority of our training runs are in the evening or after dark, for your own safety please wear high visibility clothing otherwise you won’t be able to run with us. This, and other advice can be found on our Guidelines for Running Groups page.
This is a popular and well supported club training venue, particularly in the autumn and winter. In the spring/summer a lot of members will be out doing mid-week races on the roads and fells so numbers tend to be lower.
There are usually one or two groups each week from this venue – a medium group and a faster one.
Medium Group: 8.0 – 8.5 miles in around 80 – 85 mins.
Faster Group: 9.0 – 9.5 miles in around 80 – 85 mins.
Note: pace and distances listed are for guidance as they will always be dictated by the slowest member of each group on each night.
Summer runs are off road, so pace and distance may vary from listed.
But as with all Striders training runs, no one is left behind and the faster ones in the group will always double back for the slower ones. So please don’t feel under pressure to run faster than you are capable.
As with all Striders training runs, they are completely free and newcomers are more than welcome to attend to try us out under no obligation. Please, do come along and give us a try.
