Race Date: Sunday 23rd November 2014
Royston was the backdrop for the ‘undulating’ Barnsley 10k that attracted 747 finishers. Although I beg to differ as that hill at the end was anything but undulating. The race was won by Tadele Geremew Mulugeta of Elswick Harriers in 31:01 with the first lady home Jilly Woodthorpe of Barnsley AC in 35:16.
14 Striders made the short trip with a few making light work of the tough course to post PBs, amongst them Jennifer Rich, Mick Wall and Laura Fletcher.
