Three Steel City Striders represented the club at the Guy Fawkes 10 miler on Sunday 2 November. The race is run on trails and road around Ripley with 1000ft ascent. Three of the 6 hills have names (Birstwith Brute, Swincliffe Swine and For Fawke’s Sake).

The race was won by Scott Harrington of Otley AC in 57 minutes. Lindsey Clegg of Horsforth Harriers was the first female in 1 hour 8 minutes and 53 seconds. There were 815 finishers and the Striders combined time meant that they finished 12th out of 83 male teams. Full results are on the UK Results website.
