Hope Wakes Fell Race is a key part of the Hope Wakes celebrations and took place on Wednesday 2nd July in almost perfect running conditions.
A record of 321 runners entered (50 up on the previous record from last year), of whom 318 finished the course which was slightly longer this year than in previous years. A superb turnout of 19 ‘Striders helped boost numbers.
Race winners were Stuart Bond (Dark Peak) in 41:47 and Olivia Walwyn-Bush (Altrincham) in 51:06.
