Race Date: Sunday 4th October 2015
In 2014, the Bennachie Hill Race celebrated its 25th year. It is firmly established in the hill running race calendar as one of the most popular races in North-East Scotland.
In 2007 the race was praised by the Daily Telegraph as one of Britain’s Top Ten Big Races for runners of all abilities.
In 2014, Women’s Running magazine also named the BHR one of their Top 100 events.
At about 8.2 miles in length and with a total of 1500ft of ascent (13.1k and 500 metres), the Senior race is a great challenge for everyone.
In 2015, the race attracted 184 runners of which 24 ended up being DNF!!. Striders were represented by Steve Hargreaves. Well done Steve. The race was won by Kyle Greig of Forres Harriers in 55.17. The first woman was Veronique Oldham of Cosmic Hillbashers AAC in 1.08.29.
