I can’t find much info about this race other than the essential facts, ie it was 8 miles long and had 1699 feet of climb in it. The record time is 55.00 and has stood since 2007.

This year there were 142 entrants including 4 Striders. The race was won by Ross Campbell of Highland Hill Runners in 1.04.57. First woman was Caitlin Rice of Glossopdale Harriers in 1.14.19.
