Race Date: Sunday 6th December 2015
Whilst the vast majority of us were either running or volunteering for the Percy Pud, Mark Gray was off in search of some winter punishment which he found up in Northumberland in the form of a multi lap half marathon around Hexham Racecourse.
The half marathon consists of a 9.5 lap race around the ambulance track at Hexham Racecourse. The track is hardcore and mud but is suitable for road shoes and is almost flat.
The race was won by Rob Scothern of RAF Tri Club in 1.27.58. The first woman home was Sam Newington of Durham City Harriers in 1.56.33.
Mark put in a great performance, finishing second overall and claiming victory in the M40 category.
