Saturday was a busy day in the world of cross country running it seems, the squelch of spikes on sodden ground heard in rural Norfolk as well as West Yorkshire. Reepham Runners hosted this particular event.
While the course was muddy, as per cross country tradition, it was actually quite mild and sunny for a change, though there were a few streams dotted about to keep you honest. Out of a field of 48 runners, Norfolk’s own Strider Richard Pegg came 22nd, finishing in 45:30. Afterwards he heartedly recommended the race, which included complimentary tea and biscuits afterwards!
Andy Mulligan of Coltishall Jaguars won in a time of 37:07. First lady was Pippa Crosby, running for Reepham, who finished in 40:02.
