Sheffield Open Cross Country is an annual event taking place this year on the 27th Dec at Graves Park, the event was delayed due to heavy snow fall over night making most of Sheffield look like Siberia!. However it did not stop a few hardcore runners from taking part in a proper cross country race and the Striders did our club proud by coming home as the 3rd place team behind Rotherham Harriers who took first place, with Sheffield RC in second. Trevor Burton, Paul Stuart, Simon Bennett David Palmer and Andy Buck.
The winner of the senior mens race was John Franklin ofSerpentine RC in 39:00, the full results can be found on the Sheffield RC website.
