Race Date: Monday 14th September 2015
The weather at Trunce 9 was spookily like Trunce 1; wet and dark. Thankfully it was about 10 degrees warmer last night.
280 runners were in force for the final Trunce of the year which is always fancy dress night.
Captain Caveman, Doctor Who, superheroes, footballers, rugby players…… and that was just a collection of the 18 Striders who ran.
The winning male on the night was Austin Frost of Dark Peak in 27:28, closely followed by our very own Ben Jones just 9 seconds adrift.
First lady home was Ellie Crownshaw of Bradfield in 31:49.
But the big news of the night were the Striders prizes in the overall season tables, which are collating using points scored in all 9 Trunce races throughout the season.
Congratulations to the overall season points winner and super Strider; Mir Jansen with a whopping 209pts throughout the season, finishing 13 points ahead of second place Shaun Dimelow of Penistone. Dawn Jackson finished 13th and Victoria Hawkins was 22nd overall too.
