Race Date: Thursday 15th December 2016

The 7 Hills with a difference. The 3rd race in the series took place on Thursday 15th. Below is the facebook report:

A good turnout for the post race curry – the Rajput never disappoints on quality but service was a little slower than usual due to the 29! Spelio Soc students ahead of us. Oh, there was a good running race beforehand with plenty of pre and post race banter on the possible routes.

Pre race favourite Ralph starting 5 mins late soon passed those ahead on his route but he ran off his own map and missed a ‘Hill’ thus allowing Tim R to take a well deserved victory with a fine run. Not to be outdone, Sally finished just over 3 mins behind in 3rd spot to take the Women’s honours.

A low turnout shows 16 runners do the long course and 4 do the short including Strider pair Richard Pegg and Chris Hodson. The long course was won by Timm Rutter in 64.09. The short course by Nick Lightfoot in 63.26.
