Bashingham Bash 5 mile race result

Race Date: Saturday 20th August 2016

Described as ‘A fast 5 mile road race over flat rural roads in quiet Lincolnshire countryside. Great PB potential.’, this race attracted 192 runners including 3 striders, well done all.

Pete Brown might not agree with the billing above as his brief report goes like this:

Don’t know what Nick is looking so smug about as this was only a spot prize. He had a stinker and ran the first five miles of the Hull 20 earlier this year quicker than this. The other two Striders didn’t do any better either. You try your best but sometimes your best isn’t good enough.

The race was won by Linton Taylor of Newark AC in 26.06. The first woman home was Sophie Cowper of Lincoln Wellington AC in 28.12.
