Race Date: Wed 13th July 2016

The Black Rocks fell race, organised by Matlock Athletic Club, is held every summer in Cromford, near Matlock Bath. The 5.6 mile race follows the canal tow path in Cromford Meadows before an 850ft climb to the top of Cromford Moor past the iconic Black Rocks.

The 2016 version was won by Billy Cartright of Matlock Athletic Club in a time of 38:43, and first lady was Tracey Greenway (V50) of Dark Peak in 47:32.

Dave Perkins, as solitary Striders representative, romped home in 39th position with a time of 47:06. Well done Dave!
