Success for the mixed Striders team!!
Huge well done to the 5 members of the mixed Striders team that claimed 3rd place out of 52 teams in the 12 hour Conti Lightning run last weekend. The relay is basically run as many 10k laps as you can in 12 hours. I don’t know much about the course except that it was ‘hard’.
The relay was won by ‘Green and Gold Barmy Army’ who managed to start a 16 lap within the 12 hours – the only team to do so and completed them all in 12.23.42. The Striders team completed 15 laps within their 12 slot, with Naomi Rabin running a strong final leg to give a 15 lap time (and bronze medals) in 12.22.09
