Race date: 13th July
This year marked the 21th year for this event which started in 1994.
The competitive Vets race started at 7:30pm and the Open race started at 8pm. The course record is shared by Dave Tune and Jason Ward with a time of 14:28 which Dave set in 1996 and Jason equalled in 2003. The ladies record is held by Birhan Dagne in a time of 16:35, set in 1998.
This event traditionally attracts top runners from around the region, including some fine striders in both races.
Former Olympian, Anthony Whiteman of Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers won both the vets race in 15.54 and then the open race in 14.57. An impressive double for the V40 runner.
The first lady home in the vets race was Jenny Blizard [V40] of Rotherham Harriers & AC in 17.32 whilst Natalie Burns of LWAC won the open race in 17.28.
