Edale Skyline route is a classic for walkers and runners. It is advertised as 34km / 21.1m with 1373m / 4505ft of ascent.
Apparently the weather conditions were more favourable than last year – with hazy sunshine and little breeze rather than a howling gale and rain.
Winner was Jack Wood (Ilkley Harriers AC) in 2:55:54 and first lady home was Jasmin Paris (Carnethy Hill RC) in 3:15:01. Five intrepid Striders completed the race, results below
