Well that was a whole lot of fun!

A whopping 420 ‘adults’ went rolling around in some mud and rivers on April 4th. The turnout was so large that many people’s start line was almost in Barnsley! The weather all day had looked like it was going to make the first Trunce of the year an absolute mud bath, but come 6pm, the sun came out and weather conditions were absolutely glorious.

Conditions underfoot were, as expected, hilarious. Mud so slick that skis might have been a more appropriate choice of footwear, or mud so boggy that once your ankle was in, it wasn’t coming out. Either way, it made for some excellent race pictures and childish grins all around.

A fantastic turn out of Striders, with 34 green and golden clad members making their way up to Oxspring for the race. Please do let me know if you’ve been missed off the list due to admin issues.
