Baslow Boot Bash Result

Race Date: Saturday 17th June 2017

The Baslow Boot Bash is a friendly and (mostly) non-competitive event that welcomes both walkers and runners to the Peak District. Starting in the village of Baslow and wandering through Chatsworth Park, Edensor, Over Haddon, Sheldon, Monsal Dale, Cressbrook Dale, Foolow, Eyam, Froggatt and Calver, before returning to Baslow to complete a 26 mile loop. A route is recommended by the event organisers, although competitors can choose their own path between each checkpoint so long as public rights of way are used.

The 2017 running of the event was won in a time of 4h 22m (no need to count the seconds!) by Philip Cape of Stone Master Marathoners, and first lady to finish was Amy Clark of Buxton AC in a time of 5h 10m.

As the official results contain no runner affiliations it has been difficult to check the 131 names on the finish list, so apologies to anyone I may have missed, however two Striders names that did stand out were David Whitaker and Gavin Pumford, who finished the gruelling course in 5:51 and 6:38 respectively. Well done guys!

Striders Results:
