Race date: Sunday 8th October 2017
This popular marathon is largely flat and takes in stunning Chester and quite a lot of the very pleasant countryside around it.
2587 runners took part with Lloyd Biddell of Mercia Fell Runners breaking the tape first in an excellent 2:26:12. Nearly (well, geographically at least) our own Sarah Lowery of Sheffield RC was the first woman over the line in a great 2:44:27.
Our club was ably represented by 6 good people who turned in respectable times – well done, you!
The results are also downloadable if you need them.

*On a sad note, Trevor Cording died during the metric marathon race which took place alongside this marathon. Sympathies to all affected, of course
