Race date: 14th June 2017

The Oughtibridge Gala Chase is part of Penistone Footpath Runner AC club championship. The Chase starts in Coronation Park, proceeds uphill by road to Wharncliffe Woods, loops through the woods and finishes back in the Park. The distance is approximately 6km with 180m of ascent – most of which come in the first 3km!

There were 77 runners, including 4 Striders. The winner was Joe Sweetham-Powell in a time of 21:40 (his third Oughtibridge Chase victory in a row!). First female home was Jenny Murray in a time of 25:54.
