Race date: Sunday 12th November 2017
As well as being one of the North West’s most popular tourist attractions, Tatton Park near Knutsford in rural Cheshire is home to the annual “Run Tatton” Half-marathon. A 10k event is held on the same weekend. The two-lap half-marathon course is contained in the park on closed roads, and is advertised as fast and flat, and offering good PB potential – and so it proved for our own Simone Young-Alls who took an absolutely enormous 26 minutes off her time from the Sheffield Half-marathon earlier this year.
1,153 competitors started the half marathon, including two Striders. The race winner was David Alcock (unattached) in 1:12:50, and the first lady was Julie Hambleton (also unattached) in 1:22:09.
