A beautiful summer’s day morning for a run out at Longshaw attracted a whole load of Striders. One thing that sticks in my mine is someone, (sorry cant remember who), that said to me at the end, ‘it never gets any easier does it?’. Too bleedin’ right. I was knackered and wondering how I’ve managed to do this course 2 minutes quicker in the past let alone the winner, Nick Taylor (unattached), who was 12 minutes quicker and won by 3 full minutes! Well done also to Madeleine Smithson (also unattached) who was first woman home in 49.44. Someone needs to get these 2 signed up!!
Well done to all 31 Striders that turned up for the race. Great showing and support from the club once again.
