Race Date: Sunday 25th November 2017
The Wilmslow 10k course offers runners the perfect mix of flat running, scenic scenery and with it’s town centre location a fantastic atmosphere to help you enjoy the 10k experience. The course is fully closed to all traffic at all times during the event.
The course starts in Wilmslow town centre outside Hoopers and Pizza Express, heading South West along Knutsford Road, passing through the leafy residential streets of Wilmslow, with a lightening quick first 5k setting you up perfectly for a personal best attempt.
The rural section of the course offers excellent scenery of the Cheshire Countryside before winding its way back to the finish on Mobberly Road with just one hill within the 8th km to test strength.
The race was won by Matt Clowes of Cardiff in 29:46, and the first lady home was Laura Hesketh of Clayton-le-Moors Harriers in 34.28
2483 runners ran the race, 4 of whom were Striders. Well done all.
