ABP Humber and Coastal Half Marathon 2018

Race Date 16 September 2018

The Humber and Coastal Half Marathon and 5k takes place in everyone’s favourite Humber estuary town, Cleethorpes. The race starts and finishes down from the pier, with a loop of the Thorpe Park holiday complex, a skirt of the golf course and a stretch around the town in the middle. On blustery days like Sunday it can be a challenge, despite it being considered a flat, pb-potential course. With ice-cream at the finish and a short walk to Papa’s fish and chip restaurant on the pier, what’s not to love?

1,363 runners finished the race.  It was won by William Strangeway of Lincoln Wellington Athletic Club in a time of 1:10:47. First lady was Charlotte Ward of Hallamshire Harriers in 1:24:21.

Eighteen Striders took part, with Alex Shepherd leading the way.
