The Ripon standard triathlon forms part of the Ripon Triathlon Weekend, which also includes junior and sprint events and a sportive ride. The course, which starts with a swim in the racecourse lake, is described as largely flat.

533 racers finished the course, which was won by Charles Hickman of Jackpot Racing in 2:04:18. First female was Naomi Wright of Manchester Tri Club in 2:22:16.
