As is now tradition, Striders donated the profits of the Salt Cellar Fell Race to Edale Mountain Rescue (EMR).

Following a record turnout at the race in 2018, Dean Young and Simon Wiles were able to hand over a cheque for £1,500. The donation is not only to thank the EMR team for providing cover at the race, but to help provide ongoing support for the vital work they do throughout the year.

Edale Mountain Rescue said, “The team were visited by members of Steel City Striders this morning who organise the annual Salt Cellar Fell Race. They were here to hand over a donation to the team following the event. Many thanks for your continued support of the team.”
