Race Date: Wednesday 28th February 2018.  Report by John Armitage.

If you like a drink and a run then this is the race for you. Rules – 8 pubs to choose from but you must visit at least one of the 2 Sportsman pubs.

Time 100 mins. You must drink Real Ales only. Double points for a pint, +50% points for a half pint. Maximum 1 pint per pub.

15 hardy souls braved the ‘Beast From The East’: -6C with a reasonable wind – and fought their way around the slippery Sheffield roads drinking pints of, in at least one pub, very cold beer.

There were 15 entrants and 3 of them were Striders – oh dear! However, the most pints drunk was 7 and the Striders were more reserved with just 4 pints.

The winner of the ‘race’ was Paul Fauset who visited 6 pubs and had 6 pints.

The first woman was Sally Fawcett & Kim Baxter who visited 5 pubs and consumed 1 pint.
