Another month sees the latest instalment of the Trust10 at Longshaw, an event always popular with Striders. As per last month the results have become something of a cryptic puzzle so apologies for any omissions!
Brief report from John Edmunds:
Always worth turning out for this local 10k if you’ve nothing else on. The 9am start time means you can blow off the cobwebs and be home for mid-morning leaving the rest of the day free. Great scenery apart from the middle of the 2 lap course where you have to watch, instead, your ankles over tree roots and rocks over some rugged single track terrain. The back half takes you over a couple of dig-in climbs, but rewards with a flat last kilometre or so and a short downhill to the finish. About 20 Striders out, by my count, which was good to see. Many thanks to whoever it was that took the club photo, and offered encouragement out on the course. Appreciated.
The race was won by our very own Stuart Carrack in 40:56 who was joined by a number of other Striders. If I’ve missed anyone please let me know and if anyone could let me know Nicola or Kevin’s times that would be great:
