Urban Nights: The North Stand Race Results and report by John Armitage

Race Date: Thursday 18th January 2018

Part of the Urban Nights series of races organised by a keen orienteering runner based in Sheffield

The aim of the race is to visit the 3 Sheffield Football Grounds – Wednesday, Hallam, and United, touch the North side of each venue and return to the start location. Visit the grounds in any order. Generally whichever route you take will be around 10 miles with 1,000ft of elevation. It makes for an interesting race seeing runners heading in various directions all over the city.

Last year Steve Clark and I managed to run over 12 miles of guesswork, (and finished last!)  – this year I enlisted a more prepared partner!

Two Striders missed the AGM to represent the Green & Gold. Dave Maloney and I chose Hallam, United, Wednesday as our route and managed to run the appropriate 10 miles!
