Race date: Sunday, 1 September 2019
The BBB10k (named for its organiser, the Battel Bonfire Boyes) is run on partially closed roads in and around the town of Battle in Sussex. It starts “outside Simply Italian on the High Street”. It also features a junior race. This year’s race seems to have been run in glorious sunshine.
Of the 326 runners (including one Strider), one was more than 2 minutes ahead of everyone else: Gary Foster of Hastings AC ran in 33:30. First woman, also of Hasting AC, was Rachel Mulvey, who finished 8th overall in 38:38.
