Race Date: Saturday 6th July 2019

The Blackfell Fell Race, which in 2018 attracted just 35 runners, assumed somewhat greater importance this year as the fourth of six races in the English Fell Race Championship.  Starting and finishing in Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales, the race is 14km, with 700m of ascent, all of which is in the first half of the race.  The race was won by Tom Adams (Ilkley Harriers AC) in 1:14:28 and Kelli Roberts (Helm Hill Runners) in 1:27:15.  Andy Buck was the sole Strider among the 273 finishers, in 164th place in 1:48:06, and as 8th V60 acquired a few more English Championship points.
