Race Date: 28th April 2019

After a sneaky sell-out and therefore disappointing Strider turn-out in 2018, it was good to see Striders back in force for the 2019 edition. It is a great race, (9.6m long with 1970′ of ascent) going out from Hayfield, past the reservoir, following the William Clough path up to the Kinder Plateau, past Kinder Downfall before dropping back down to Hayfield.

After Storm Hannah the previous day, it was good to have excellent conditions for this classic race – sunny and mostly dry underfoot. 275 runners set off, 10 of which were Striders and Ben Light and Caitlin Rice were first Male / Female back in 1:12:54 and 1:21:39 respectively.
