The Wrexham Half incorporates the North Wales Half Marathon Championship and is described on the website as fast and flat, with a medal as well as baked goods courtesy of the sponsor. The course is a 5-mile lap followed by an 8-mile lap (that incorporates most of the 5-mile part).
The race was won by Mohammad Aburezeq of Altrincham and District AC in 1:07:34. First female was Laura Riches of Leigh Harriers & AC, in 1:19:39. 2373 runners finished the race, two of whom were Striders.
