Maybe not for those nursing an Old Year’s Night hangover, the Hardmoors 30 is a New Year’s Day 30 miles-ish loop around Whitby, including Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, and Cloughton.

This year’s race was completed by 166 hardy runners, including sole Strider Nicole Brown. The race was won by Michael Smith (Pocklington Runners) in 3:52:52, and first woman was Claire Howard (Totley AC) in 4:33:51
