Race Date: Sunday, 1st March 2020
The Hope Fell Winter Race took place on a bright but chilly day, with 13 hardy Striders amongst a field of 146 runners. The course is 10.5km long with 540m of climb to the top of Win Hill, the reverse route of the regular summer Hope Fell Race.
Crossing the line in first position was Steve Franklin of Totley AC in a time of 47:40. The first woman home was Ellen Downs of Dark Peak Fell Runners, who finished 9th overall in 52:33. Chris Jones was the first of the Striders to finish, in an impressive 7th place, and well done to Victoria Hawkins, Andy Buck and Jill Davies, who all came second in their respective categories.
