Race Date: 30th October 2021
This is a 13 mile Fell Race across the Big Moor near to Holmesfield in the Peak District and is organised by the 3rd Holmesfield Scout Group. The runners are treated to a tour of Ramsley Moor, Big Moor and Totley Moor. Directions are provided and the route is lightly ‘way marked’.
Conditions were wet, muddy, and slippery under foot. The rain and wind at the start of the day reduced to a slight drizzle when the race started at 10:30. 51 runners completed the race which ended with sun breaking through the clouds.
The race was won by Philip Montgomery in 1:34:28 and first woman was Holly Clifford in 1:53:56. Strider Alison Barrett was first in her category and 22nd overall in 2:02:58. A great result!
