Leeds MoRun 10k Result & Report

Race Date: Sunday 21st November 2021

Race Report by Tim Fawcett

It was the weekend in which the weather turned brutally cold. Shivering at only my second ever race, I was aiming for a 60 minute 10K. That was before I realised how hilly this 2 lap course was.

After a speed dip halfway due to hills, I dug deep and managed to get a 1:00:20.

Now to recover and train for Percy Pud.

The Leeds MoRun 10k is part of a larger event also featuring the MiniMo (a 1.5k for runners aged 3 to 12 with under 7s accompanied by an adult) and a 5k race. The MoRun name comes from the Movember moustache growing challenge. Participants are encouraged to sport a moustache, real or drawn-on, and wear 70s style running gear.

253 runners took part in the MoRun 10k. Winner of the men’s race was Paul Smith in a time of 38:37. Kate Downie won the womens’ race in 44:35 (results do not include club affiliation).
