Race Date: Sunday 22nd August 2021
Each month on a given Sunday there is a 10k/5k race as part the London Parks Series. This month a couple of striders entered the event at Queen Elizabeth Park near the Olympic Stadium (now home to some hammers).
It’s a well laid on event with a 4 x 2.5k route on good well-marshalled paths.
£65 for all three.
£24 for each race. Is that good value?
Note that the medal is an interesting design. If you complete all three in the series then each medal fits together to make a single medal with we think a river Thames map.
Recommend if in the capital to try this. Do not recommend running a fast parkrun the day before!
First male was Andrew McCaskill in 33.03
First female was Sarah Sawyer in 40.51
The 2 striders that ran were Richard Pegg who finished 1st in his age category and won a £10 voucher and Nancy Stuart who finished 3rd in her age category.
|12||Richard Pegg||MV 60||47.46|
|33||Nancy Stuart||FV 40||1.04.18|
