What is Percy Pud ?
It’s the traditional Sheffield start of Christmas, with a lovely atmosphere and music with crowds cheering along the route
It’s an event where very fast runners can push themselves and break records
But It’s also a race for everyone, bringing all Sheffield runners together to celebrate PBs, or just to celebrate managing to get round another year
It raises lots of money for charity and puddings are donated to Food Banks all over town
and it’s all down to the massive team of organisers and volunteers that make it happen
Another Great Percy Pud ! Well done all!
200 Striders ran. The race was won by Tommy Power (MSen Hallamshire Harriers RC) in 31.00, and by Phillippa Williams (FSen Dark Peak Fell Runners) in 33:59. Abbie Pearse smashed the Steel City Striders Club 10k Female Record by a massive 1 minute 18 seconds.
