This event by ‘It’s Grim up North’ is based in Frickley country park, a former colliery, now converted into a lovely space that’s perfect for runners. The course took place on good trail . It was a five mile loop on good paths with some challenging hills. Various race lengths were offered by doing different numbers of loops – 5 mile, 10 mile, 15 mile, 20 mile, Marathon, and 30 mile (ultra) . The post race DIY sweetie bag was popular

The 10 mile race was won by Michael Pearson of Askern and District RC in 1:08:06. First Lady was Isabelle Garside in 1:28:17. The 15 mile race was won by Andrew Ball of Ripley RC in 1:51:38. First lady was Amy Maugh of Danum Harriers in 2:06:20. Winner of the marathon was Stephen Hayes of 3:10:15 with first lady being Rochelle Ramsden at 3:32:36.
