Distance 8.5km Ascent: 308m
The Route: Starting from Stoney Middleton Playing Fields with a lap of the playing field before heading along the concessionary footpath to The Moon Inn. Then the climbing starts with a complete ascent of High Street before turning down Black Harry, back up onto Longstone Edge before descending steeply to Combes Dale. Just before you get back to the playing field there is a sting in the tail with one last climb before returning to the playing field.
205 runners for this year’s race. The men’s race was won by Ross Millington of Stockport Harriers in 31.22. The women’s race was won by Philipa Williams of DPFR in 34.42.
