Race Date: Sunday 19th February 2023
Kingstone Runners proudly host the Wombwell 5 each year – a long-established road race in South Yorkshire. It sees runners take on 5 miles, setting off from the go-kart track then heading out on the roads through Wombwell, climbing up through Darfield before a long downhill back down to the track for a final lap before crossing the finish line.
The race was won by Euan Brown of the Hallamshire Harriers in 25:21. The first female to cross the finish was Samantha Hughes of Rotherham Harriers in 29:10.
A total of 62 Striders turned up to race as part of their road league or the championship. Here are our results:
