The Anglo Celtic Plate, is an annual 50/100k event held in Britain this one held Scotland Perth, thought I’d give the club record a crack, getting ready I realised that I had forgotten my Compeed and tape (would late regret this in a big way) setting off things were going really well . Ticking over an 8 minute mile for the 1st 30 mile. Well on target for a club record, I starting to get a little niggle up to 40 miles knowing this was the end off my attempt, turning into real problems and for the next 22 miles would suffer all the way to the end finishing in 10.23 minutes picking up a British Masters M55 Gold Medal on the way.
The race was won by Dougie Selman Corstorphine AAC in 6.34 mins and 1st lady was Sarah Webster in 7.03 mins of Northern (IOM) AC.
