Race Date: Thursday 13th June 2024
A 4.9 mile route, starting on the playing fields at Grindleford and passing through Hay Wood, the Longshaw Estate and Padley Gorge. The race also features a river crossing within sight of the finishing line. Billed as suitable to newcomers to fell racing, those considering entering are reassured that the race requires no navigational skills and is well marshalled and partially taped.

Thirty Striders were among 293 runners who lined up for the Grindleford Fell Race. The men’s race was won by Michael Kenyon of Dronfield Running Club in a time of 0:32:35. Strider Caroline Brock won the women’s race in a time of 0:39:30.
