Race Date: Sunday 7th July 2024
The Ashbourne Half is described as one of the most breathtaking and beautiful racing challenges you will ever delight in which takes runners on a spellbinding experience. It’s a hilly course exploring the fabulous Derbyshire Dales before returning to the historic market town of Ashbourne, a place much beloved of Jane Austen. It’s a challenging event, but the views are breathtaking and the racing is superlative.
The race doesn’t attract big numbers though with just 145 runners taking part. Ben Fish of Blackburn Harriers and AC was first over the line n 01:12:37. The first female finisher was Rebecca Harrison of City of Stoke AC in 01:33:08.
